Consultant - Accounting Economist

The company is in an intensive development and growth phase where the business is being built up in parallel with the establishment and refinement of processes. We are therefore looking for an experienced accounting consultant who can strengthen our accounting team in a broad assignment with a focus on accounting, financial statements and further development of the finance function.
The consultant will work operationally within accounting while the assignment involves a clear improvement and development focus. The role serves as an important point of interaction between accounting, business control and other parts of the business to ensure correct accounting, follow-up and analysis of costs and deviations.
The assignment combines personal responsibility within defined areas with close collaboration in teams, where knowledge sharing and joint problem solving are central working methods.
Job duties (example)
Current accounting, reconciliations and accruals
Monthly closing and reporting
Reconciliation and declaration of VAT
Preparation of supporting documents for annual accounts and audits
Support in internal projects, such as system changes and accounting-related investigations
Active participation in – and driving – development, improvement and documentation of routines and processes within the finance function
Competence in demand
We are looking for a consultant who is independent, structured and meticulous, with a strong ability to create structure and contribute to effective working methods in a changing environment. The assignment requires good communication skills and the habit of collaborating with different functions within the organization.
The consultant is expected to have:
University-level financial education or equivalent relevant experience
Approximately 5–10 years of experience from similar accounting roles
Good overall understanding of the accounting flow
Experience of system changes and great interest in the system (experience of SAP S/4HANA is an asset)
Very good knowledge of Excel
Good knowledge of K3 (IFRS is an asset)
Ability to communicate freely in Swedish and English, both spoken and written (the working language is English)
Experience of fixed assets
Experience of high transaction levels
Accustomed to / comfortable in a changing environment is a plus.
