System Architect – Embedded Automotive Systems

About the role

We are looking for an experienced System Architect to support the development of advanced embedded systems within the automotive domain. The role focuses on defining and evolving system and software architectures for complex vehicle platforms and distributed functions.

You will work closely with system engineers, software developers and platform architects to ensure robust, scalable and maintainable solutions in a modern development environment.

Responsibilities

· Define and maintain system and software architecture for embedded vehicle systems

· Ensure interface consistency, modularity and scalability across distributed functions

· Provide architectural guidance to development teams

· Conduct design and integration reviews

· Collaborate with adjacent teams to align system architecture with platform strategies

Required Skills

· Strong experience as System Architect or Senior Embedded Developer

· Solid background in embedded systems and real-time software

· Excellent knowledge of C++ or similar embedded languages

· Experience with distributed systems and communication protocols

· Strong ability to structure complex systems and drive technical decisions

· Professional working proficiency in English

Meritorious

· Automotive industry experience (especially heavy vehicles)

· Knowledge of CAN, LIN, J1939 or similar protocols

· Experience with functional safety (ISO 26262)

· Familiarity with model-based development, CI/CD and embedded testing
