Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Description
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to strengthen our team working with cable harness routing and installation for bus chassis within the VCA (Vehicle Cabling Architecture) area.
You will be part of a design team responsible for developing and installing cable harness solutions, with a strong focus on installation feasibility, quality, and design reviews in a complex vehicle environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and routing of cable harnesses for bus chassis applications
Installation design and support
Design and drawing reviews
Collaboration in an agile/Scrum-based development environment
Close cooperation with adjacent engineering and production stakeholders
Required Competence
Strong experience in mechanical design of cable harness routing and installation
CATIA V5 (mandatory)
Engineering background within Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based setup
Professional working proficiency in English (Swedish is a plus)
Meriting / Nice to Have
Previous automotive experience (highly valued)
Experience with:
Saber
Capital
Jira
3DEXPERIENCE (both legacy and new environments)
(These tools are beneficial but not mandatory.)
Additional Information
The team works specifically with VCA cabling and installation on bus chassis
Possibility to work up to 3 days per week onsite in Södertälje
