The assignment is located in Linköping and involves working at the forefront of camera-based perception and machine learning for automotive systems.
About the assignment
You will be part of a team developing camera-based perception systems for next-generation ADAS and Autonomous Driving solutions. Camera calibration is a central part of these systems, where accurate geometric understanding of the image creation process is crucial for functional performance and safety.
In this role, you will work on developing modern machine learning-based calibration algorithms and frameworks for both development and production platforms. The work is done in close collaboration with specialists in several technical areas and directly contributes to critical system functions in autonomous driving.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Develop state-of-the-art machine learning-based algorithms for camera calibration
Ensure correct positioning of camera-based features in real-world coordinates
Contribute to the generation of correct ground truth for annotation, development and validation
Enable sensor fusion between camera, lidar, radar and other sensors
Ensure consistency in multi-camera systems with 360° environment perception
Develop both online (dynamic) and offline calibration tools including monitoring and validation
Work with machine learning in interaction with system availability and hardware constraints
Collaborate with teams developing core ADAS and AD functions such as object detection, lane and road detection and traffic sign and traffic light recognition
Requirements:
4–8 years of relevant experience in Machine Learning and/or Computer Vision
Strong theoretical and practical competence in machine learning
Experience in algorithm development in geometric vision, mathematics or robotics
Good experience in software development, preferably in C, C++ and Python
Experience in systems engineering, preferably for embedded systems
