Power Systems Engineering – Principal Engineer

Minimum education and experience requirements:

  • At least six (6) years of relevant work experience, including leadership, and a Bachelor's or Master's degree, or Other technical education combined with over 15 years of relevant work experience
  • Good knowledge of English

Lead GMS Developer:
We are strengthening our team with more application engineers in Network Control to meet growing global demand. The team is diverse and characterized by collaboration - now we are looking for you who want to join the journey.
As a GMS (Generation Management System) engineer, you play an important role in optimizing the operation of electrical power generation. Your work contributes to ensuring that plants run safely, environmentally friendly, cost-effectively and stably.
Your duties:

  • Work as a developer to support other application engineers in delivery projects to customers in Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania
  • Collaborate with customers' GMS experts to configure solutions based on their needs
  • Develop smart and robust integration solutions between SCADA/EMS/GMS and other IT/OT systems
  • Create and execute test plans together with the customer to ensure that the systems meet contractual requirements
  • Provide training to customers on how to use the GMS/EMS functions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with the technical team
  • Contribute to a culture where security, integrity and responsibility are at the center

Qualifications:

  • Master's or higher degree in energy systems, electrical engineering or computer science
  • Basic understanding of electricity production and transmission networks
  • Basic understanding of SCADA systems
  • Experience working with SCADA/GMS systems
  • Good knowledge of Automatic Generation Control (AGC)
  • Programming skills in languages such as C, C++ and FORTRAN
  • Willing to travel and comfortable working on site with customers
  • Analytical, communicative and thrive in a dynamic, multicultural environment
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Swedish is not a requirement
