Introduction

Are you an experienced project leader with a strong background in infrastructure projects? We are now seeking an external project leader for port infrastructure for an exciting consultant assignment.

About the Assignment

As the Project Leader for port infrastructure, you will play a key role in ensuring that our client’s infrastructure needs are met. This includes managing projects from a technical perspective, building relationships with key stakeholders such as municipalities, government bodies, and suppliers, and driving project success through coordination and risk management.

You will work closely with the client’s infrastructure team and report directly to their External Infrastructure Manager. In this role, you will collaborate with several internal functions, including Public Affairs, Communications, Legal, and Finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead port infrastructure processes from the client’s perspective.
• Ensure that infrastructure is designed and built according to the client’s needs through coordination between internal and external stakeholders.
• Create work plans and monitor progress in dialogue with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with the project timeline.
• Identify and manage project risks in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Lead the processes of negotiating service contracts with suppliers in accordance with regulations and market best practices.
• Contribute to potential public procurement processes managed by external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Academic degree in engineering or business.
• Proven experience in project management related to planning, engineering, and/or construction of infrastructure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English.
• Strong ability to build and maintain trustful relationships with various stakeholders.
• Grit and resilience to succeed in a complex and challenging environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with public sector organizations.
