This role is part of the OTA Cloud Services team, working with one of the most exciting digital products today: enabling software upgrades for cars over the air — anywhere, anytime.

Currently, two teams are working on the same product, based in Gothenburg, with most collaboration taking place at the Torslanda team location. A strong focus is placed on co-creation, inclusive teamwork, and long-term personal development. Many team members choose to stay long-term, taking on broader responsibilities within the product, the ART, or other areas of the organization.

What you’ll do:

As part of the OTA team, this role operates in an agile environment where developers are empowered to take requirements from review through to production-ready functionality. Responsibilities include hands-on development, code reviews, and contributing to architectural plans that ensure high code quality and support rapid change.

Do you fit the profile?

The ideal candidate is a consultant with advanced expertise in both backend and frontend development, with a strong background in Java. A proven track record of designing scalable, high-performance systems is expected, along with hands-on experience with both relational and non-relational databases such as MongoDB.

Strong proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, UX/UI design, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Azure Cloud Services, and messaging platforms such as Kafka and MQ is required. Familiarity with agile methodologies is essential.

Direct client engagement, including requirements analysis, and a strong interest in understanding user needs and the full user journey are highly valued.

Who are you?

Senior-level Java development experience is required, including hands-on architectural decision-making and the ability to guide peers while actively contributing code. Experience working in DevOps-oriented, business-critical consumer environments will be considered a strong advantage.
