Assignment Description:
As a Systems Architect Consultant, you support clients in designing and delivering sustainable, scalable, and secure system solutions for business-critical environments. You work closely with client organizations and act as a strategic technical advisor throughout the entire system lifecycle – from early requirements definition to verified delivery.
In this role, you translate business and operational needs into robust, interoperable system architectures with a strong focus on long-term maintainability, quality, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and deliver system architecture for IT infrastructure and technical platforms, tailored to customer requirements, operational environments, and platform constraints.
• Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to capture operational intent and translate it into verifiable architectural solutions.
• Evaluate architectural alternatives and make informed trade-off decisions balancing performance, robustness, cost, lifecycle considerations, and security.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality frameworks.
• Lead and participate in architecture reviews together with client teams, project managers, and subject-matter experts.
• Document and communicate architectural decisions, interface definitions, and compliance artifacts throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support system integration, testing, and verification from an architectural perspective to ensure delivered systems meet defined performance and reliability requirements.
• Act as a technical escalation point and trusted advisor in complex client engagements.
• Mentor teams in systems architecture methods and best practices.
Your Background
• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, IT architecture, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in systems architecture within complex, robust, or security-sensitive IT environments.
• Proven experience in requirements decomposition, traceability, and architecture definition for large or integrated systems.
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Experience balancing system-level trade-offs.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish, written and spoken.
Meriting Experience and Certifications
• Master’s degree in systems engineering, IT architecture, cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Practical experience applying systems engineering standards and frameworks such as ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 or INCOSE methodologies.
• Experience designing architectures for high-reliability or security-focused systems.
• Relevant certifications in systems engineering or architecture frameworks (e.g. INCOSE ASEP/CSEP, TOGAF).
• Certification in information security management systems (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001)
