Material/Chemistry: Enchanced Thermal Interface Material
We usually respond within three days
SRC MPE and Module Engineering lab is part of our client’s Sweden research center in Stockholm and is a highly creative, multidisciplinary and international think-tank, dedicated to exploration of innovative key technologies and turning them to working solutions.
We are currently looking for a researcher to take on the challenge to explore, the future Thermal interface material (TIM) solutions for our coming ICT concepts
We expect this expert to be responsible for
- 1) Driving research (simulation, protyping and verification) whitin microscale heat transfer physics and chemistry for TIM.
- 2) Giving technical and theoretical guidance for research on new TIM materials and their processes based on product demands and industry trends. This to achieve technical breakthroughs; especially in the areas of: overall conductivity, realiability and cost. .
- 3) Supporting in the verification and test data analysis of key materials & processes: Including internal prototypes and samples or those obtained from cooperation with external partners.
- 4) Supporting us in the build-up of an academic and industrial ecosystem/network, and providing scientific support and advice for the coming cooperation projects in this networkm including national , EU frameworks and other project calls.
- 5) Supporting the build up a state of the art TIM-testing laboratory in our Stockholm office
The work will be done from our material/thermal teams in Stockholm and our head office in China.
Essential Skills required:
We require a PhD
-in the area of advanced materials, nanomaterials or materials physics and/or chemistry with a focus to change/improve the basic functionality of the materials and/or their surfaces.
We expect the candidate to have more than 1-2 years of post-doc experience of research and delevlopement within the area, preferably from industry
This experience have given the candidate
1. A very good understanding of TIM; its R&D, its manufaturing process, its function including the interaction with surounding units/surfaces and the realibility of the total solutions.
2. An good competence within moleculer simulation tools and methods and in micro-scale heat transfer
3. An excellent understanding of advanced material resources and trends in the material research industry, especially new innovative surface treatments and other ways to change/improve that basic functionality of materials and/or their surfaces
The candidate can of course communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing
Additional skills required:
1. Excellent knowledge of general advanced material & processing.
2. A solid knowledge of European universities or technology research organizations.
3. We expect that the candidate can work independently as well as in a team
4. The candidate should have a high focus on delivering high quality work
5. Good communication skills are required
6. Prior experience from international and multicultural work is preferred
