Mechanical Design Engineer – Retarder & PTO Systems

We are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer assignment focused on retarder and PTO systems. The role involves hands-on work with design, assembly drawings, and technical documentation – all within a cross-functional engineering environment.
About the Assignment:
In this role, you will work on both new design solutions and improvements to existing systems. You are expected to bring technical expertise, creativity, and a practical approach to engineering challenges. Your contribution will be vital from concept development to high-quality documentation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and refining engineering concepts for performance and manufacturability.
- Creating and updating CAD drawings and technical documentation in line with design and quality standards.
- Supporting changes and updates to existing systems and components.
- Collaborating closely with R&D, production, and quality teams.
Requirements:
- Master of Science in Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in similar mechanical engineering roles
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Strong ability to work independently and manage technical documentation and design changes
- Meriting Qualifications
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 and ENOVIA
- Familiarity with product development processes such as PD Process, FRAS, and ECO
- Background in automotive or similar complex technical environments
