Baseband MAC Layer SW Expert

Scope: Research on layer 2 software architecture for 5.5G/6G.

Responsibilities

  • Design high performance layer 2 software architecture for the next generation wireless products, in particular layer 2 MAC scheduling.
  • Work closely with algorithm, software and hardware designers. Particularly the close cooperation with our wireless team in Shanghai.
  • Contribute to improve the performance and capacity of wireless product by software/hardware co-design.
  • Help to build long-term strategic plan and business plan for future layer 2 software architecture.

Qualifications requirements

  • PhD/MSc level in computer science, electrical engineering, wireless communication or equivalent background.
  • At least 5 years of experience in wireless communications, specifically within MAC layer of 5G or 4G.
  • Knowledge in MAC layer scheduling, such as radio resource management, measurement handling, prioritization, pairing, power control, etc.
  • Knowledge in SoC (System-on-Chip) hardware/software co-design, microprocessor architecture, job scheduling, memory/cache optimization.
  • Real-time for many cores of heterogeneous system.
